Server Requirements

MonkeyCMS was developed on a Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP (LAMP) setup, although technically there is no reason it should not work on a Windows system of the same configuration. To take full advantage, the following minimum requirements should be in place on your server prior to installing MonkeyCMS:

PHP 4.3.2 or later
MySQL 3.2.23 or later
Apache 1.3.x or later

MonkeyCMS has been tested on versions of all of the above later than the minimum specified and it is confirmed to work in PHP5/MySQL5/Apache 2 environments. It has also been confirmed that it works as expected with XAMPP.

Client Requirements

Administration Interface

The MonkeyCMS Administration Interface supports Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE) v5.5 and above. It also supports all standards-compliant browsers on both Windows and Non-Windows platforms.

Versions of MSIE below 5.5 are not supported and are not compatible with the MonkeyCMS Administration Interface.

MonkeyCMS Websites

Websites generated with MonkeyCMS should be compatible with any browser and platform - depending on the template design used.
